I live in the United States and grew up in Siberia, Russia. After a 25 year career as a professional career as a marathon runner, I tuned my interest to artistry. I am self taught and with the aid of various online videos, I have expanded my techniques and styles. My first interest was the field of Ribbon Embroidery on tapestry. Upon experimenting with painting my own backgrounds for the embroidery, I evolved into painting more and more Oil based paintings. My recent interest has been abstract painting with acrylics. For many years, my passion was competitive distance running; and I still run for pleasure. But my passion and enjoyment now comes from the time spent in my studio creating various forms of art.
